What was the highlight of Sandals Negril Beach Resort

loved the lowkey vibe, very intimate and beautiful clear seawater to swim in.

We loved the beach and lowkey vibe of Negril. Restaurants had great food, lots of bars around the place to get a drink and staff were generally very friendly and happy to help

The room was dark and door opened up to a walkway so couldnt really open windows without giving up privacy to people walking by. I would recommend getting an oceanfront room if available. Initially during check in there was an issue with placing a hold on our credit card due to an issue on the resorts end. Reception thought this was due to issues with my bank, however after trying and failing with my bank on the phone plus trying two other different credit cards we just didn't provide a hold for our stay without any issues.

We LOVED Jamaica and will return.

The resort is very nice and the staff is very nice, food was good.

What we didn't like was the aggressive sales tactics of the staff, for taking phots and booking the next trip. The final night before we left as we were ATTEMPTING to relax before dinner they called us AT LEAST 6 time back to back (not kidding, we were literally like WTF is happening), both the photo studio and the travel desk person. I mean come on, maybe I haven't paid for the next trip but guess what I did pay for this one so I don't know why you think its your right to harass me. Very annoying. VERY. ANNOYING.

The staff seemed inconvenienced often when our group of 8 wanted to eat. We were very patient but they were not. The resort was run down and outdated. Our air-conditioning shut off in the middle of the night and that required maintenance to come reset it. Additionally, there was lots of condensation on our bathroom ceiling since they have no way to ahit the bathroom window. It's open/screened in, but open, and the air temps mixed from outside to our colder room. That also created condensation on the outside of our front door and kept deactivating our key cards (no, it wasn't from our cell phones). Overall, I was dissatisfied with how much I paid and got in return.

Perfect location and loved Sandals Negril!!!!! Can’t wait to come back next year!

Best location every! Love the layut of this property on fabulous Negril beach… not too big and not too small. This is truly the perfect size resort for my husband and I. We got married there and all the staff made the entire event stress-free. They held us by the hand and it was perfect… can’t wait to come back here! It is now “our” place.

Only negatives… room I booked was supposed to have a balcony. It did not. The food was not the best here. It wasn’t bad at all, food just not chef quality and a little under seasoned typically. Also kept running out of things (fish sandwich, etc. but that must be challenging on an island.

At Sandals, you're truly at home.

The cuisine was second to none, absolutely fantastic food with variety, many restaurants with set menus, but you could not possibly get bored with the options. The staff in general, were very accommodating, warm and quick to sort out any problems "you think you have" and the overall execution of the activities were world class - it was absolutely a relaxing vacation. The bar staff were knowledgeable, I tested one, made perfect drinks every time - the house cocktails were refreshing, consistent and never ran out. And the beach, well, you have to go to find out - I was in it every morning! My wife and I will definitely be visiting other Sandals location, we really did enjoy it.

A few of the restaurants' staff seemed to have a bias (not sure if it was intended), however, there were instances I had to keep enquiring about our orders, especially when it was clear other guests were being served in ahead of us, another time, one of our waiting staff made options for us that was truly offsetting and I was not very pleased that night-fortunately, or maybe not, it was our last night, so it created a bad taste after having 3 nights at the other restaurants which were absolutely perfect, especially the Italian spot - Cucina Romana.

Value for money, poor beach

The resort staff are amazing! Genuinely friendly, attentive and helpful. We didn’t have Butler service and didn’t miss it. Food and drinks are catered for American clientele but overall good - sushi lovers must visit restaurant Soy at nearby sister resort Beaches

We were mostly disappointed by the beach - the “swim” area is too shallow, murky and full of sea grass, so we probably won’t come back to this particular Sandals. Also staff soliciting photoshoots gets old very quickly

In our experience it doesn't deliver what it promises. Disappointing after our previous stay.

Location and beach is excellent. Staff generally friendly and tried to help.

Booking.com website advertises Caribbean Luxury Honeymoon Room. This ties in with the site map and we booked. In fact this section is being rebuilt so we did not get the room we thought. To compound matters we were allocated room 5352 right next to the building site, man with hammer next to our balcony greeted us.There was also a cracked sink in the bathroom. After 2 complaints we were moved and told we were in a Honeymoon suite but not according to the site map. This room also had a cracked sink and we we assured that all these rooms had cracked sinks. There are birds flying around the restaurant, especially at breakfast, some ladies were frightened and one bird stole a sausage from a man's plate! The staff just seem to ignore this unhygienic problem. There seems no onsite supervision e.g. we were having lunch at about 2 pm in the main restaurant and staff started to move tables and chairs right past our table, this stopped after a complaint. On another occasion, having eventually found unreserved sun beds a man with a leaf blower came along the path behind, it was 3pm...a really good customer experience! Other minor problems, tea bags not replaced, several requests necessary to get water replaced in fridge, ice machines not working, water cut off in the block we were in on a couple of occasions. I could go on.

The entire resort was very well kept and beautifully...

The entire resort was very well kept and beautifully landscaped. Entire Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. No major issues but when we did have small issues, they were addressed and resolved very quickly. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

The one and only thing we didn’t like was the choice of music that was played during the evening. We just felt it should be a variety of artists and not so much the same genre.

An amazing week of fun, sun, relaxation!

The room was amazing with the patio, then the chairs in the pool patio, then the pool! Right from there, the beach! Best we’ve ever been to.

We first got the room where the patio was looking at a restaurant that was under construction. We moved the next day about 8 rooms down and it was great. Listening to the construction the whole week was still annoying.

Poorly organized events/entertainment, narrow beach. CONSTANT SOLICITATION FROM STAFF FOR PHOTOSHOOTS, MASSAGES, AND ANY OTHER UPCHARGE THEY COULD THINK OF. At least 10 times a day staff will interrupt your day to solicit some extra cost activity. The day we avoided staff at all costs they called our room at 6:45 to once again harass us for a photoshoot

The beach was fantastic, the food very good the service really good and the beach OUTSTANDING. The rooms need a humidifier for sure as its TOO MUCH humidity in the rooms. Use the extra water from the dehumidifier to water the plants. Love the Peacock on site at the Dining room he loves taking selfies! The jerk chicken was kicking HOT HOT HOT. Will return

Disappointed. Will never stay with Sandals again.

Room was clean. Food was good.

Sandals lies. Took forever to checkin. Sandals did it as a group thought we were travelling alone. They insisted on giving a presentation about the property. Felt as if we were going to be sold something. Really mad about never having a water's edge lounger. Despite what Sandals clearly stating water edge chairs could not be reserved in multiple places, every morning all the chairs were reserved with people's names, towels, floats and ice chests. And often they never showed up at all during the day. We were offered this service upon our arrival but declined. It appears you get a water's edge chair and float only if you pay for the "butler service". Despite spending $4,400 for five days it did not qualify. So much for all-inclusive. Sandals lies. Also Sandal lied about one of our excursion trips. We booked the jungle river tubing trip thru Sandals and were told it was only a 45 minute drive. The limit to the drive time we wanted to do. Upon arriving (Saturday) we discovered it was actually 90 minutes each way so we cancelled (trip was for Monday). Lie number two.In advance of the 24 hour cancellation window which again Sandals said we could do. They refused to refund us our money. Lie number three. We will NEVER NEVER stay at any Sandals resort again.

The food was excellent at all locations on the property, breakfasts and lunches in the main room and dinners at every one of the other beautiful restaurants. Thank you.

In room 405, there's a single step from the bedroom to the bathroom. The color of the tile tended to hide it and so present a tripping hazard. Adding a little reflective strip would help highlight the step.

Friendly staff. Breakfast und lunch buffet were really good.gardens are beautifully kept.

For the price, I expect restaurants in the evening to be better than the buffet, which is not the case. Barefoot in the evening is a real letdown! The food isn t freshly made. The drinks from the bar were watery. In a 5 star hotel I expect fresh juices (such as limes in mojitos and cosmopolitans) and not being short with the alcohol. I was asked 5 times what we were celebrating (my birthday). I was forgotten. A bunch of other rooms had banners and balloons. Again, this should not happen at this price. I once asked a staff member if he could help us find an umbrella (we were the only 2 chairs without). He was gone for 30 minutes. After 45 minutes I approached him:"sorry, no more umbrellas": once again, at that price, they should go out of their way to make us comfortable.
